My career and my academic work started with my interest in working with people with disabilities. For most of my life I have been involved in social justice issues and advocacy work involving marginalized and diverse populations. I am guided by my strong desire to ensure that those who need help should always have access to help. My identity has been shaped and transformed by so many of the people that I have met and by the radical love and acceptance I have been honoured to receive and to give to people who have felt safe enough and who have trusted me with their darkest moments, their most challenging struggles, their greatest achievements and their times of joy. Throughout my life, I have always loved to to listen to all of the fascinating stories people tell about the experiences of their lives. I am consistently inspired by the resilience of people, how they are able to shine, despite having been up against so many adversities in life. Pronouns: She/Her

I am a graduate of the University of Calgary Social Work program and have a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work/Psychotherapy. I have spent many years working in various areas of mental health, primarily with persons with dual diagnoses and complex mental health needs. I have worked alongside people from all walks of life and of all ages through their healing process and especially enjoy working with teenagers and young adults.
